His work with mobile operators in the MENA region has leveraged customer intelligence, technology and business case analysis to increase mobile broadband revenues and improve profitability.
Bassam’s powerful capabilities and impressive skill set are well evidenced in his most recent role with Omnitele as General Manager and Head of Sales & Marketing MENA, where he was strategically appointed to transform the region into a growth center, contribute to executive management activities, and consolidate the firm as a leading regional telecoms consulting company. Bassam achieved great success in client engagements across the Region, including a large network benchmark project in Libya, network audit project with Ooredoo Qatar and a Customer Experience Network Audit with Ooredoo Kuwait. He also directed an RF network optimization project with Batelco Bahrain, delivering a proprietary Intelligent Capacity Management Methodology that underpinned the decision to launch ab LTE network. In addition, he also delivered a spectrum management consultancy project for the Jordan Telecommunications Commission.
Bassam developed a highly successful 5-year services market development and operational strategy plan, that focused on expanding techno-economic solutions business with mobile broadband and telecom operators. With extensive experience with wireless and broadband telecom operators, regulators, vendors and consulting companies, Bassam’s career has progressed through to the most senior levels within SNS-BATCO Group, MSI and Ericsson, which seconded him as Network Director for Saudi Telecom Company (STC). A dynamic results orientated leader with a proven track record in a diverse range of business structures, Bassam is able to implement technology as a key growth enabler within modern business enterprises.
